Thank you for the fantastic job you did on my foot. You went to so much trouble both before the bunion operation explaining the problems and consequences of intervention and also with your follow-up care. I can hardly believe how quickly I have recovered from what was a complex operation. The swelling is gradually receding and I expect to be dancing in my heels at our son's wedding later this summer. Thank you so much.
Having suffered from a torn tendon for over 18 months in my left foot, I received Shock Wave Therapy from Miss Kendall. The skin is now less sensitive to touch and easier to manage day-to-day. In conjunction with a custom-made insert, my gait is now re-aligning giving additional relief from foot pain.
I found Miss Kendall attentive, understanding and, above all, human. The Health Service today is all about numbers and processes and computer updates and very little about patient care! Miss Kendall in my experience goes against this grain.
As a colleague of Miss Kendall’s, nursing her post operative patients, I was confident in approaching her to sort out my foot problem. I underwent a minimally invasive cheilectomy and three months later I could wear shoes without discomfort. The first consultation involved a full explanation of the procedure and benefits of the surgical options available and post operative follow ups were offered for as long as I needed them.
Miss Kendall dealt with my broken ankle speedily and successfully. I am an actor and she was was sympathetic to the necessity of my incorporating the injury and after treatment into the storyline of the show I was appearing in at the time.
I cannot recommend Miss Kendall highly enough. Not being satisfied with the treatment I had previously received I sought a second opinion on my ankle outside of the NHS from Miss Kendall. She immediately identified the problem that was missed by other general orthopaedic surgeons and knew how to deal with it. It really does highlight the importance of seeing a specialist.
After about eight months of discomfort, pain and ending up with a limp and not being able to do much walking, I had an operation with Ms Kendall a year ago April 2017. I had posterior tibial tendonitis and had to have a flexor tendon transfer with a minimal shift calcaneal osteotomy (heel shift) (the latter performed so that this would fix my future walking gait and protect my posterior tibial tendon operation) I had a ruptured posterior tendon as well which had to be sorted out as well. Rehabilitation is a slow process and you have to take care and be patient, but is worth it and knowing you are in safe hands gives you confidence that the problem will be fixed ultimately. Ms Kendall was from the start very competent, analytical, professional and above all I think is a perfectionist which is just what you need in surgery. If I have problems with the other foot, Ms Kendall is the first person I would have operate as my operated foot now is practically 100 percent after a year since surgery.
Miss Kendall is recognised by most major insurers including PPP, Cigna, AVIVA, WPA and CS Healthcare.
